Science and the Web
(sites and sensibility)

Educational standards and directives from scientific agencies are pushing us to create curriculum that does a better job of helping students understand that science is as much about "a way of thinking" as it is a "body of knowledge." Since that "way of thinking" entails systematic observation, quantitative analysis, modeling and simulation, computers and a wide variety of open ended software naturally compliment a progressive science curriculum.

Consider 3 curriculum models that lend
      themselves to technology integration.

Consider the Strategic Integration Model that
organizes software into distinct "tools" and promotes
the intelligent creation of a "software suite."

Browse the SMATE software library for a look at the
most potent education software for math, science and
     technology.
