Using a Story Board to Plan Your Presentation

Content of your Presentation: Your job is to characterize the earthquake history of your topic area. The questions below should be answered by your presentations. You will need 4-6 different views to tell your story.

Questions to ask:

1. Where in the world is your area?

2. Where do earthquakes occur within your region?

3. What time frame does your data cover?

4. How big are most earthquakes? What is the biggest?(keep large dots) (adjust magnitudes)

5. In general, how deep are the earthquakes? (show small or circular dots only)

6. What is the plate tectonic situation? Are there plate boundaries nearby? What kind of plate boundary is it? (add plate boundaries)
