Hi my name is Travis Klaas, I am pursuing my Masters in Teaching. I am very excited to teach science. I completed my undergraduate work here at WWU in Geology, and really enjoy field work. The position as Graduate assistant has been a great experience. Learning about all of the teacher resources, helping with the sleep over with science and the arts, and collaborating with the science education classes have all been helpful pre-service experiences. If you are looking to become a science teacher you should check out how to become a SMATE graduate assistant.
