SMATE Undergraduates 

My name is Jessica and I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher since I was in elementary school myself.  I absolutely love science , especially biology and physics!  I can't wait to begin teaching, hopefully shortly after I graduate in June of 2008.

Major:  General Science, Secondary Ed., Chemistry Emphasis.  Anticipated graduation:  Spring 2007.  Student teaching, Winter/Spring 2007.

I live in Darrington and have been commuting to WWU for the last 2 years.  I'm 36 yrs old and have 3 children, ages 16, 14 & 12.  My degree is Secondary Ed.-General Science.  My endorsement is Chemistry.  I'll do my student teaching Winter '07/Spring '07 and graduate June '07.

I am a General Science Elementary major and plan on graduating in 2009 after the three year elementary education program.  I don't know where I am doing my student teaching yet (I was just accepted to Woodring).

Hi!  My name is Megan and I am majoring in General Science (Elementary) with endorsements in science and biology.  I will be student teaching during Winter Quarter of 2007 in the Whatcom County area and I am looking forward to starting my teaching career in the very near future.

I am pursuing a BA in Secondary Ed. for General Science and chemistry.  I would like to teach either middle or high school.   My anticipated graduation date is June 2007.  Currently, I am a GK-12 undergraduate Fellow in which I am trying to enhance learning through inquiry in a 6th grade classroom at Whatcom Middle School.

Elementary Ed. General Science, science tutor @ Larrabee Elementary for Spring, Fairhaven M.S. in Winter.  I baby sit (galore), love animals...have 3 cats, a turtle, 2 rats, a bearded dragon and 4 fish at my house.  I went to Ballard HS in Seattle ('04) and will be theoretically done with my internship, Winter '09.

I am a General Science Major for Secondary Education.  I am planning on getting endorsed in Chemistry and Earth Science.  A weird mix, I know, but I love both equally.  I can't wait to be in my own classroom.

In the future....I want to be a person that can have positive influences on every child I meet!

I plan to get my Bachelors in Elementary Education, with a major in General Science.  I love working with the younger children and plan on teaching first or second grade.  I'm excited to get started with the program!
